The teaching intends to provide students a basic knowledge of the field of digital publishing, taking into account the change in the forms of textuality, in the evolution of reading devices and in reading practices.

The main aim of the teaching is to allow students to understand and differentiate various forms of digital storytelling, the main forms of digital textuality and of reading devices.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to understand practices, tools and models used in the field of digital publishing, and will possess the competencies required to analyze its main features.

Type of delivery of the course

Distance learning for the duration of the coronavirus emergency. Later, if there is time, lectures supplemented by discussions and laboratory activities

Type of evaluation

The evaluation usually takes place through a written test that will take place at the end of the course (in two sessions: it is possible to freely choose whether to take the written test in the first session or in the second, if the test is not passed in the first session it is possible to take it again in the second). For those who have not passed the written test, or for non-attending students who wish to take the exam in oral form, the exam can take place in oral form: in these cases, an integration of the program is foreseen (see adopted texts).
