The course aims to provide students with advanced knowledge of the vocabulary and the fundamental problems of aesthetics. Specific attention will be deserved to some of the most significant authors in the discipline.
Students will be able to apply the acquired knowledge to discuss and to develop arguments both in a theorical and in a historical perspective.
Students are expected to acquire the following skills:
Advanced critical thinking on aesthetics;
Advanced language and argumentation skills about the topic of the course;
Capacity to read and analyse texts about Aesthetics;
Oral and/or written presentation (Italian or English)

Programme

The course will start with an introduction to Deleuze's thought, then move on to the reading and commentary of some passages of Logica del senso (1969) focusing on the concepts of becoming and event. The second part of the course will follow some literary traces present in the 1969 text, and will deal with the relationship between literature and philosophy in Deleuze's thought, focusing in particular on some authors.
