The Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures gathers the tradition of linguistic, literary and philological studies of the Faculty of Humanities to create a homogeneous unit, articulated in research projects and curricular paths. Plurality in the methodological, theoretical and applied fields as well as a firm devotion to innovation and development constitute its founding principles, also in relation to similar sectors and study areas.
The scientific and didactic project is part of an international dimension that enhances education, research and communication of scientific production, draws on new methodologies, encourages cross-disciplinary exchanges and collaborations. The high affinity among disciplinary sectors ensures a clear and strong presence of the project on the territory, thus satisfying the educational demands in foreign languages and literature, teaching, as well as in linguistic and cultural mediation.
