The PhD project in History, Territory and Cultural Heritage is multidisciplinary and aimed at investigating some of the most salient aspects of humanistic knowledge: archaeology, history, art history, territory. It is characterised by the centrality of the document and the sources, which constitute the unifying element of the various disciplines of which it is composed. Sources and documents in all their meanings (written, visual, iconographic, monumental, landscape, oral and media) are investigated with the most rigorous historical and philological tools, in the correct cultural-historical perspective, taking into account the new frontiers opened up by the Digital Humanities, in the international perspective required today by the study of the disciplines inherent to the scientific sectors included in the PhD. The aim of the Ph.D. course is primarily designed to train graduate students as independent researchers, so that on completion they can claim professional standing as University academic staff or in any other high-level roles in professional sectors requiring skills in advanced research and deep rigorous analysis. The thematic trainings of the doctoral programme are: - Studies in art history, archaeology and preservation of cultural heritage History (Politics, society, culture, territory) A good knowledge of Italian Language is strictly required
