20110216 - ADMINISTRATIVE LAW

The course aims to provide students with the acquisition of a basic knowledge of the principles and rules of general administrative law, with particular regard to the issues of the development of administrative law, administrative organization, provision and administrative procedure, with a look at new trends in the field, both in the context of European law and with regard to the use of new technologies, through the analysis of regulatory sources and jurisprudence. A part of the course will be dedicated to a topic of specific interest for the degree course, namely the legal protection of animals, with an in-depth analysis of the regulatory, jurisprudential and doctrinal evolution on the subject both at European and national level.

At the end of the course students will have acquired: - mastery of the institutes and general theory of administrative law, as well as familiarity with the more general issues concerning the issue of animal welfare protection at national and European level with particular regard to public law profiles; the critical awareness of the continuous change in the regulatory framework at issue that concerns the public administration and the specific sector of animal protection, as well as the ability to understand and analise the most relevant issues on the subject.

The lessons offer an overview of the topics indicated in the program as well as insights that allow you to develop the skills and refine the knowledge necessary for a successful exam.

Type of evaluation

The final exam is held in oral and aims to assess the knowledge and understanding of the subject, as well as the ability to address and critically solve legal issues through the re-elaboration of acquired knowledge. There is the possibility of a mid-course optional written test. All the indications about the written test will be communicated to the students in class and through the e-learning platform
