INTERNATIONAL AND EUROPEAN DISASTER LAW
The course on "International and European Disaster Law" is supported by the EU Commission in the framework of the "Jean Monnet, Erasmus+" Programme. It aims to foster knowledge on the international and European legal framework concerning response and prevention to disasters in light of the increasing relevance of such issues for main stakeholders (International organizations, NGO, Red Cross Movement, private actors) involved in activities aimed to support affected individuals and communities.
The course, apart from a series of frontal lectures, will follow an interactive didactic approach through: meetings with institutional representatives and members of NGOs dealing with disaster scenarios; thematic seminars, use of digital databases, analysis case-studies to test legal issues in time of disasters.
