20810105 - SMART MOBILITY (SISTEMI DI TRASPORTO INTELLIGENTI PER LA MOBILITA' SOSTENIBILE)

Smart Mobility (Intelligent Transportation Systems for Sustainable Mobility) is a course of the Master Degree in Road Infrastructures and Transport. This degree aims at training a highly professional figure in civil engineering with specific knowledge and skills in road infrastructures design and management and transportation issues.
Within this master's degree program, Smart Mobility course aims to offer students in-depth knowledge of transport systems in relation to recent availability of large amount of data on the mobility of people and vehicles.
Students will acquire the necessary skills to 1) simulate the flow of traffic in a dynamic environment; 2) to process the data acquired by traffic monitoring technologies; 3) designing modern traffic management and control systems; 4) sustainable mobility systems such as car sharing and car pooling.
At the end of the course the students will be able to 1) integrate data from different sources 2) design control systems for access ramps; 3) use automatic accident detection techniques; 4) use advanced transport information systems; 5) estimate travelling times; 6) design a car sharing system.
