Objectives of the course are a) to provide knowledge and skills that allow the student to use the computer as a tool for the automation of the most common and elementary activities related to information processing and b) to acquire the introductory knowledge of computer systems information, their use and languages for querying databases.
At the end of the course the student:
- has become familiar in using the computer as a tool for the automation of the most common and elementary activities related to information processing
- is able to critically orient itself in the use of simple information processing systems, and carry out some simple queries on these.
