21810595 - ITALY AND EUROPEAN INTEGRATION

This course intends to analyze the growing importance of the European dimension in Italian politics after the Second World War, looking at its centrality in Italian foreign policy as well as in the domestic political debate. To this purpose students will have to assess the paramount political and cultural weight that the idea of Europe played in shaping the identity of Italy's political forces, and scrutinize in depth some of the key pro-European choices made by the Italian governments since 1945.
