History of Christianity: from Jesus to the emergence of Islam. The course aims to introduce the students to the history of Christianisms in Ancient and Early Medieval Times. The use of the plural form "Christianisms" immediately intends to clarify that it doesn't deal with the history of the Roman Catholic Church, but with the variegated developments of Christianity within the first eight centuries.
