THE MAIN STEPS OF THE HISTORICAL PROCESS OF THE RESTORATION/CONSERVATION AND PROTECTION, FROM GREEK-ROMAN WORLD UNTIL THE SECOND HALF OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY. THE THEORIES OF THE RESTORATION OF THE NINETEENTH AND TWENTIETH CENTURY. THE THEORY OF THE RESTORATION OF CESARE BRANDI AND ITS CONSEQUENCES FOR RESTORATION/CONSERVATION OF WORKS OF ART (PAINTING, SCULPTURE AND ARCHITECTURE). CONNECTIONS WITH OTHER DISCIPLINES THAT CHARACTERIZE THE COURSE OF STUDY: ART HISTORY, HISTORY OF CRITICISM OF ART, MUSEOLOGY, HISTORY OF ARTISTIC TECHNIQUES.
