Geological Sciences<\/h2>\n

Bachelor’s Degree in Geological Sciences is a programme aimed at equipping students with a robust grounding in Mathematical, Physical, and Natural Sciences alongside core geology disciplines. The curriculum covers fundamental geology-such as physical geography, palaeontology, mineralogy, petrology, geochemistry, geophysics, geomorphology-complemented by laboratory and fieldwork, GIS training, and skills in data processing and scientific communication.<\/p>\n

Entry to the programme is open-access, but involves an initial diagnostic test in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, reading comprehension, logical reasoning, and a 30-minute English assessment coordinated with the University Language Centre (CLA). Students achieving a B2 level proceed to an oral exam; those falling short receive additional support and may need to complete remedial courses (OFA). The degree concludes with an independently prepared dissertation presented orally under faculty supervision.<\/p>\n

Roma\u202fTre offers strong international mobility opportunities, including Erasmus+ study and traineeship options, as well as university-wide mobility grants for non-EU destinations. Students can gain ECTS through internship placements-either in external institutions or within departmental laboratories-and participate in career-oriented seminars. Upon graduation, students can pursue a Master’s in Geology and Environmental Protection or a PhD in Earth Sciences. Career prospects span roles in geological mapping, hazard and risk analysis, resource exploration, environmental impact assessment, geotechnical and laboratory testing, and, upon passing the State Exam and registering in Section B, autonomous geological practice.<\/p>\n\t
