Optics and Optometry<\/h2>\n

Bachelor’s Degree Optics and Optometry course prepares students for professional practice as optician\u2011optometrists. The programme is structured into three integrated strands: the physics of light and optical materials; visual system physiology; and practical optometric skills-covering everything from assessing visual performance to selecting and applying corrective devices such as spectacles and contact lenses. A key feature is the practical training: students complete theoretical modules in state\u2011of\u2011the\u2011art optics labs and undertake a compulsory 13\u202fECTS (325\u2011hour) curricular internship in university laboratories or approved professional settings.<\/p>\n

Admission to the course is open and non-selective. All applicants must take an initial assessment-focusing on mathematics and core scientific knowledge-to identify any areas needing reinforcement; academic support is offered but enrolment is guaranteed regardless of test outcome. Upon graduation, the course ensures that graduates are ready for the workplace, equipped with professional competence and the capacity for lifelong learning in optometry.<\/p>\n

The programme supports international experience through existing Erasmus+ agreements, enabling study abroad opportunities that enrich academic and professional development. Students can apply for one of approximately eight Erasmus+ study spots allocated to their degree each academic year, as well as apply for Erasmus internships abroad.<\/p>\n\t
