Urban Design<\/h4>\n

The Master’s Degree in Urban Design addresses the built environment as a system of spatial and social relationships. It explores urban form in connection with land, infrastructure, environmental resources and human interactions, highlighting the complexity of contemporary urban life. Students investigate the interplay of spatial, functional, ecological and socio-economic factors that shape urban space, and are encouraged to reflect critically on urban voids, landscape, and historical traces as elements of design.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The course offers a project-based approach to urban design, integrating technical skills with conceptual and contextual awareness. Digital tools such as GIS, 3D modelling, and big data analysis support the study of spatial dynamics, while thematic design studios focus on sustainable, low-impact solutions aligned with national and European policy priorities. Students engage with issues such as climate adaptation, social equity, and urban regeneration, and develop methodologies for planning resilient and inclusive environments.\u00a0<\/p>\n

International collaboration is a core strength of the programme, supported by Erasmus+ exchanges, extra-European partnerships and a diverse student cohort. Opportunities for study trips, exhibitions, and professional placements enrich the learning experience. Graduates are prepared to work in architectural and urban design firms, research institutions, public administration, and international organisations. They may also pursue further academic study. The degree allows access to the professional register of architects in Italy, subject to successful completion of the national licensing exam, and confers professional mobility across the European Union.\u00a0<\/p>\n\t
