An Overview of the Program<\/h2>\n

Starting from the academic year 2024\/2025, the Intra-university<\/strong> Master\u2019s Degree Program in Medicine and Surgery Technologically oriented has been launched. The program is administratively based at the Universit\u00e0 Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Unicatt<\/strong>) and it has been established in collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine of the Unicatt and the Department of Industrial, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering of Roma Tre University.<\/p>\n

Upon completion of the program, graduates will obtain<\/strong>, in addition to the single cycle Master’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (which provides direct qualification for the medical profession), additional credits that allow them to also receive a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from our Department. This is made possible through 30 additional University Educational Credits (CFU) that enhance the skills acquired during the program.<\/p>\n

Medtec: The Intra-University Degree for Interdisciplinary Knowledge<\/h2>\n

In a world where technology permeates every aspect of life, medicine can evolve by reaching new frontiers. This new 6-year program integrates medicine and engineering<\/strong>, training future innovators-doctors able to face the revolutionary challenges of today and tomorrow in clinical medicine and research.<\/p>\n

The combination of medicine and engineering within a rigorous and up-to-date medical and technological curriculum\u2014centered on the human being\u2014uniquely qualifies Medtec graduates to become proactive contributors in the development of medical technologies. Specific integrated courses promote cross-fertilization between medicine and engineering.<\/p>\n

Medtec trains doctors with a solid background in biomedical engineering<\/strong>, artificial intelligence, robotics and nanomaterials, key skills to explore the new frontiers of technological medicine and the medical profession of the future.<\/p>\n
