Cultures, practices and technologies of cinema, media, music, theater and dance<\/h2>\nThe PhD course focuses on the disciplines of cinema, media, music, theater and dance, in an innovative dialogue between the theories and practices of audiovisual and performing arts, both in terms of objects and methodologies. research, and on that of the respective competences of the institutions associated with the doctorate. In fact, for the first time in associated form, two universities (Roma Tre and Teramo) and three artistic institutions (Santa Cecilia Conservatory, National Dance Academy of Rome, Academy of Fine Arts of Rome) participate in the course, representing three important areas of the high artistic-musical education. One of the specific features of the course is therefore represented by the intersection of the humanities with the fields of audiovisual technologies and musical and performance practices. Starting from the main disciplinary sectors of reference (L-ART \/ 05 Performing arts, L-ART \/ 06 Cinema, photography and television, L-ART \/ 07 Musicology and history of music, SPS \/ 08 Sociology of cultural and communicative processes) , the course pays particular attention to the historical-critical, theoretical-analytical, technological and socio-cultural dimensions of the themes connected to the areas of performing and audiovisual arts, in line with the international scenarios of contemporary academic research and with an interdisciplinary opening to complex techniques of techniques and knowledge that distinguishes, on the one hand, artistic productions and the related media contexts, and on the other, the physical and environmental refractions of studies on sound and images. The multidisciplinarity and the innovative nature of the research lines make it possible to overcome the limits of the sectorial nature of the individual areas, also through cultural and technological innovation aimed at promoting understanding of the specificities and complexities of cultural heritage, with particular reference to the relationship between material heritage and intangible assets and related archiving and digital documentation practices.\n
