In line with the ANVUR framework (SUA TM \/ VQR), these activities aim to generate a <strong>measurable social, cultural, and economic impact on the territory<\/strong> by transferring and sharing research results, scientific expertise and the University\u2019s cultural heritage.<\/p>\n<h2>Areas, Activities, and Initiatives<\/h2>\n<p>Roma Tre\u2019s Third Mission activities are structured across several operational areas, corresponding to the main SUA TM evaluation categories and are carried out both at University and Department levels, often in collaboration with external partners.<\/p>\n<h3>Technology Transfer and Economic Valorization of Knowledge<\/h3>\n<p>This area includes activities aimed at transforming research results into knowledge useful for production and innovation purposes, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>industrial research and experimental development projects<\/li>\n<li>research contracts and consultancy with public bodies and private entities<\/li>\n<li>initiatives supporting intellectual property and the valorization of scientific expertise<\/li>\n<li>promotion of start-ups, spin-offs and entrepreneurial pathways.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Examples include structured collaborations with companies and institutions, third-party research activities and innovation support programs, aligned with SUA TM indicators related to technology transfer.<\/p>\n<h3>Research Valorization and Lifelong Learning<\/h3>\n<p>This area covers activities related to the application and dissemination of research results, as well as lifelong learning initiatives aimed at external audiences. Specifically:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>projects with practical applications carried out in collaboration with public bodies and institutions<\/li>\n<li>professional development and lifelong learning activities;<\/li>\n<li>third-party research initiatives supporting the production system and public services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These actions contribute to generating economic and social value, in line with SUA TM indicators on research valorization.<\/p>\n<h3>Relations with the Labor Market and Employability<\/h3>\n<p>The Third Mission also includes activities aimed at strengthening the employability of students and graduates, through:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>placement initiatives<\/li>\n<li>collaboration with professional orders and associations<\/li>\n<li>events connecting the academic world with the labor market, such as career days and thematic meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These actions foster structured dialogue with the professional and productive landscape and contribute to the University\u2019s occupational impact.<\/p>\n<h3>Public Engagement, Production of Public Goods and Social Impact<\/h3>\n<p>In line with the cultural and social dimensions of the Third Mission, Roma Tre carries out public engagement activities aimed at producing and sharing public goods. These include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>scientific and cultural outreach through conferences, open lectures, public events, exhibitions and cultural activities<\/li>\n<li>initiatives enhancing historical, scientific, and cultural heritage<\/li>\n<li>projects engaging citizens on topics of public interest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Examples include public events, scientific dissemination initiatives aimed at citizens and projects promoting urban and historical memory, all relevant to SUA TM indicators on public engagement.<\/p>\n<h3>Relations with Schools, Institutions and Territory<\/h3>\n<p>Roma Tre develops structured interactions with the school system, institutions and civil society, with particular attention to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>guidance and relations with schools<\/li>\n<li>citizenship, legality and social inclusion education programs<\/li>\n<li>service initiatives for the territory and local communities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These activities strengthen the University\u2019s public role and contribute to the social and cultural impact evaluated in SUA TM and VQR processes.<\/p>\n<h3>Networks, Services and European Dimension<\/h3>\n<p>The Third Mission also benefits from networks and services dedicated to dialogue with the territory and Europe.
