Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics offers differentiated yet culturally coherent study plans, aimed both at those who wish to quickly acquire professional skills in mathematics, technology, and computer science, and at those intending to pursue advanced specialisation, particularly through the Master’s Degrees in Mathematics and Computational Sciences. Admission is open but requires an entry test to assess students’ preparedness; those who do not take the test are assigned additional learning obligations (OFA), supported by academic support services and tutoring, especially during the first two years, to facilitate integration and catch-up.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the first two years, which are common to all specialisations, students study the fundamentals of mathematics, computer science, and modelling. From the third year onwards, the pathways diverge into a theoretical-didactic curriculum – offering options such as ‘General Mathematics’ and ‘Mathematics for Teaching’ – and a modelling-applicative curriculum, designed for quicker entry into the workforce and focused on modelling, computational, and IT skills. Students can select preliminary or professionalising courses to prepare for master’s studies or employment.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The programme offers considerable flexibility, allowing students to personalise their study plan with courses outside the degree where permitted, and provides opportunities for international mobility. The pathways are designed to suit students’ cultural and career interests, with particular focus on those aiming to teach, specialise in theoretical mathematics, or acquire advanced applied skills in areas such as cryptography, information security, physical modelling, and numerical simulations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\t
