Archaeology and Art History<\/h2>\n

The Bachelor’s Degree in Archaeology and Art History is a three-year programme aimed at providing students with a solid foundation in the methodologies of archaeology and art history, integrated with historical, literary, philological, and legal studies. The course offers a unified curriculum that can be shaped through individual choices, covering key areas such as prehistoric and protohistoric archaeology, the ancient Greek and Roman worlds, Near Eastern cultures, as well as medieval, modern, and contemporary art and architecture.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Students must complete a total of 180 ECTS credits, including core subjects in Italian literature, history, ancient civilisations, geography, and anthropology (42-54 ECTS), and specialised disciplines related to archaeological, art-historical, archival, and ethnographic studies (66-72 ECTS). The programme also includes related and integrative courses (18-24 ECTS), four elective exams (18-24 ECTS), and activities such as language training, laboratory work, field research, internships, and workshops (12-18 ECTS). The final degree requires a dissertation (6 ECTS), allowing students to conduct independent research on a topic of their choice.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Admission to the programme is open without restricted access, and students choose their preferred academic pathway with support from a tutor. The teaching approach includes lectures, seminars, practical labs, and field activities. Students must also demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language (English, French, German, or Spanish) at B2 level, with the option to validate recognised certifications. The University Language Centre (CLA) supports language learning and recognises relevant qualifications.
