Philosophical Sciences
The Master’s Degree in Philosophical Sciences offers a rigorous two-year curriculum designed to deepen students’ engagement with both the historical roots and contemporary developments of philosophical thought. Through advanced study of logic, epistemology, ethics, aesthetics, and the history of philosophy, the programme cultivates critical thinking and analytical reasoning across diverse intellectual traditions. Students are encouraged to engage with philosophical texts in their original languages and to develop independent research perspectives.
The course structure provides solid methodological training while supporting interdisciplinary exploration and international mobility. It includes joint degree opportunities with Sorbonne Université and Aix-Marseille Université, offering a French–Italian academic experience focused on historical and formal approaches. Additional Erasmus+ options extend the programme’s global orientation. Graduates may also acquire the necessary credits for teacher training in philosophy and humanities at secondary school level.
Graduates are equipped for academic research, publishing, cultural programming, public administration, and consultancy roles requiring advanced analytical and argumentative skills. The final thesis, which is worth 24 ECTS credits, reflects the student’s ability to conduct independent, original research within a clearly defined philosophical framework. It stands as the culmination of a course that prepares students to contribute meaningfully to scholarly, civic, and interdisciplinary dialogue.
