Philosophy

Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy offers a comprehensive and up-to-date education in key areas of philosophical research, supported by an internationally recognised faculty. It provides students with a solid understanding of the history of thought and major theoretical debates across various philosophical disciplines, as well as critical skills in text analysis and argumentation. The course emphasises mastery of specialised philosophical language, interdisciplinary contextualisation, communication, organisational skills, and proficiency in at least one European language besides Italian. Students also develop essential IT competencies for managing and presenting information.

Admission to the programme requires a compulsory but non-selective entrance test, with dedicated tutoring provided to support first-year students. Teaching includes lectures, seminars, workshops, internships, and placements, designed to prepare students for careers in fields such as information, publishing, human resource management, cultural services, and public administration. The programme also readies graduates for further study through first-level Master’s degrees and related Master’s programmes. Attendance is encouraged but not compulsory, and students’ knowledge is assessed via written and oral exams, culminating in a dissertation demonstrating their ability to conduct independent research and critical reflection.

The course encourages participation in international mobility opportunities, including the Erasmus+ programme and other study abroad initiatives, enhancing students’ academic experience. Graduates benefit from high employment rates due to the broad and transferable skills gained throughout the course, which combine theoretical knowledge with practical abilities applicable to various professional contexts.
