The Education Community is an innovative and completely free Autodesk initiative that promotes access to technical and scientific knowledge, the exchange of ideas among teachers and future talents from centers of academic excellence around the world, as well as relationships and technological exchange with industry. Among the services offered are:
- Individual educational-use licenses for the most advanced Autodesk software technologies for mechanical, manufacturing, civil, and architectural design, such as AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Maya 3D, Autodesk Inventor Professional, Revit, Civil 3D, Raster Design, AutoCAD Electrical, Viz, Alias Studio;
- Professional e-learning lessons and teaching materials;
- Inter-university or university-level discussion groups, Q&A, forums;
- International networking with students and teachers from other universities around the world;
- Industry relations and job opportunities.
AutoCAD is included in all Autodesk solutions specialized for various design disciplines: the most advanced solutions chosen by industry—such as Autodesk Revit for architectural and building design, Autodesk Inventor Professional for mechanical-manufacturing and industrial design, and Autodesk Civil 3D for civil and infrastructure engineering (which, thanks to the included Autodesk Map 3D, also supports GIS applications)—all include the AutoCAD platform.
Access to the service
The service is managed directly by Autodesk and is available to students as well as teaching staff, technical-administrative personnel, and library staff.
