Zero Lecture for Sustainability – Academic Year 2024/2025

Roma Tre, in collaboration with the Network of Universities for Sustainable Development, is launching the second edition of the “Zero Lecture for Sustainability” that will take place in the second half of the 2024/25 academic year.  This initiative is open to all university students. Lectures will be in Italian.

The “Zero Lecture for Sustainability” is not included in other sustainability-related courses offered by the departments. It is a basic, introductory, and non-disciplinary course designed to be crosscutting across all academic programs.

For this year, the “Zero Lecture for Sustainability” remains an elective course that students can choose, structured for a total commitment of three university credits (CFU) and divided into thematic modules. To earn three credits, students must complete one of the modules.

How to Enroll

Enrollment takes place via GOMP (student personal account). Students can log into GOMP, browse the list of eight available modules, and select their preferred one.

To enroll, follow this web path from the student personal account: Enrollment and Entrance Tests > Advanced Training Course > Enrollment

Enrollment must be completed before the start date of the selected module. The university’s academic office will send the final list of enrolled students to the module instructor by the enrollment deadline.

Students from all university departments are eligible to enroll in the modules.

Course Schedule and Locations

Lectures will start in mid-March and finish by June. Each module will have its own schedule, dates and  locations of each modules’s  lectures  will be published on the “ Roma Tre Sostenibile” website (Italian version) Link identifier #identifier__91665-1https://www.uniroma3.it/ateneo/roma-tre-sostenibile/), in the  “ Lezione Zero” box and on social media.

Module Completion and qualifying examination

The three credits will be awarded upon passing a qualifying examination. Verification methods will vary for each module.

Credit Recognition and CFU Assignment

The module’s reference instructor will officially register the exam results, allowing students to receive the 3 CFU. Students who pass the qualifying examination can then print their certificate and submit a credit recognition request. This request will be processed by the Department Student Office in which the student is enrolled.
