How to Enrol in a Bachelor’s degree

Before the enrolment procedures, it is essential to read the Link identifier #identifier__81279-1admission notice (Italian version), which contains complete and detailed information on admission requirements, the admission test, enrolment procedures, admission for candidates with disabilities and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), tuition fees, scholarships, and other services.

Admission Requirements

Educational qualification: a secondary school diploma issued in accordance with current regulations or an equivalent foreign qualification.

Enrolment in degree programs is subject to control over self-declared qualifications required for admission, in compliance with applicable regulations, even after enrollment has taken place.

Candidates with a Foreign Qualification

Enrolment

Enrolment is carried out online starting from July 7, 2025 and is considered completed only after the payment of the first installment of tuition fees by October 15, 2025. Any exceptions to this deadline are indicated in the attachments to the admission notice.

To complete enrolment, students must upload the following documents to their personal  account area; failure to do so will result in the suspension of academic progress:

  • scanned copy of the signed enrollment application;
  • passport-style photo;
  • scanned copy of a valid identity document;
  • for non-EU citizens: copy of residence permit or visa.

Enrolment of students with foreign qualifications will be allowed only after the qualification has been verified by the university office.

Late enrolment is allowed until December 15, 2025 with a late fee of €60, as stated in Article 8, paragraph 2, of the Tuition Fee Regulations.

Department of Education Sciences

The following information refers to the degree programs with open access of the Department: Social work and sociology 

Eligibility for the test: in addition to those who already hold a high school diploma, students enrolled in the fifth year of secondary school may also take the test. Enrollment in the program can only be finalized upon obtaining the diploma. 

Academic Regulations 

The Academic Regulation document outlines the organizational aspects of the degree program, including:

  • criteria for the recognition of prior learning

A. Test Dates and Key Deadlines

The initial knowledge assessment consists of taking the TOLC-SPS. 

Steps to follow: 

  • Register for the TOLC-SPS via the CISIA portal within the specified deadlines and take the test. The test schedule can be found at: Link identifier #identifier__164376-8TOLC Test Calendar (testcisia.it) 
  • Register at Roma Tre: Sign up for online services via the page Link identifier #identifier__194698-9Student personal account Student Area – Student Portal (uniroma3.it)  in order to proceed with enrollment. 

It is also possible to enroll before taking the TOLC-SPS, according to the deadlines in Article 4. 

B. Exam Format, Content and Outcome 

Format of the exam 

The TOLC-SPS consists of multiple-choice questions, divided into several thematic sections presented in sequence. A set time is assigned to each section. 

The standardized national test consists of 40 questions to be completed in 90 minutes, divided into three sections: 

  • Reading Comprehension: 10 questions in 30 minutes 
  • Acquired Knowledge: 15 questions in 30 minutes 
  • Logic, Reasoning and Mathematical Language: 15 questions in 30 minutes 

At the end of the TOLC-SPS, there is a 30-question English Language Knowledge Test, which does not count toward the final score but replaces the language placement test mentioned in Article 9 of the call (Italian version). 

 

Exam Outcome 

The score, excluding the English section, is determined as follows: 

  • Correct answer: +1 
  • Incorrect answer: –0.25 
  • No answer: 0 

 

Additional Learning Requirements (OFA)

Candidates who score below 10 on the assessment test are required to fulfill additional educational obligations (OFA). 

Failure to take the test by November 23, 2025, will be considered an insufficient result and will automatically lead to the assignment of the required OFA. 

Activities to fulfill additional learning requirements must be completed during the first year of the course of study and are managed by the Department’s Academic Tutoring Service. They may be carried out in person or online.
