The student community in universities is increasingly seeking to be involved, especially regarding environmental and social sustainability issues. It is therefore essential to find a structured and continuous way to engage students in RUS activities while considering the specific characteristics that define the participation of this important stakeholder group in our universities.
The Working Group aims to be a meeting space for the university student community, fostering intellectual and emotional engagement with sustainability and encouraging collaboration among students from different disciplines and universities.
The Student Community Working Group has the following objectives:
- mapping the ways in which the student community is involved in universities within the network;
- collecting and sharing best practices, with a particular focus on student engagement activities and peer-to-peer dissemination;
- proposing new activities and initiatives to be implemented in universities, also using envisioning and foresight tools;
- improving the dissemination of RUS proposals aimed at students;
- contributing to the work of the other Working Groups, coordinating with them to better understand the priorities perceived by students.
The student representatives in the Student Community Working Group are:
Margherita Marrale e Pierluigi Bibba
