How to Enrol in a Bachelor’s degree

Before the enrolment procedures, it is essential to read the Link identifier #identifier__128037-1admission notice (Italian version), which contains complete and detailed information on admission requirements, the admission test, enrolment procedures, admission for candidates with disabilities and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD), tuition fees, scholarships, and other services.

Admission Requirements

Educational qualification: a secondary school diploma issued in accordance with current regulations or an equivalent foreign qualification.

Enrolment in degree programs is subject to control over self-declared qualifications required for admission, in compliance with applicable regulations, even after enrollment has taken place.

Candidates with a Foreign Qualification

Those who obtained their qualification within a foreign school and/or university system must refer to the procedures published on the following web page: Enrolment with foreign qualification.

The guidelines for admission of non-EU citizens residing abroad and Chinese students participating in the Marco Polo Program as well as  pre-enrollment procedures for these applicants are available on the Universitaly foreign students website.

Enrolment

Enrolment is carried out online starting from July 7, 2025 and is considered completed only after the payment of the first installment of tuition fees by October 15, 2025. Any exceptions to this deadline are indicated in the attachments to the admission notice.
To complete enrolment, students must upload the following documents to their personal  account area; failure to do so will result in the suspension of academic progress:

  • scanned copy of the signed enrollment application;
  • passport-style photo;
  • scanned copy of a valid identity document;
  • for non-EU citizens: copy of residence permit or visa.
  • students enrolling with a foreign qualification must first upload the relevant documents online and follow the procedure outlined at the following web page: Enrolment with foreign qualification. Enrolment of students with foreign qualifications will be allowed only after the qualification has been verified by the university office.

Late enrolment is allowed until December 15, 2025 with a late fee of €60, as stated in Article 8, paragraph 2, of the Tuition Fee Regulations.

Department of Languages, Literatures and Foreign Cultures

The following information refers to the degree programs with open access of Department of Languages, Literatures and Foreign Cultures: Languages and literatures for intercultural communication (L-11)

A. Test Dates and Key Deadlines

The Department has scheduled two sessions of admission test that will take place on September 2025. Failure to take the test in the above-mentioned dates leads to the assignment of additional learning requirements (OFAs) as set out in the Academic Regulation of the course of study.

B. Exam Format, content and outcome content

Format of the exam

The test lasts 75 minutes and consists of 60 questions which have the purpose to assess comprehension of texts in the Italian language. Specifically, it evaluates general and argumentative text comprehension skills as well as fundamental lexical and grammatical competencies in Italian.

  • Listening test: 10 questions
  • Reading comprehension: 10 questions
  • Multiple-choice cloze test on grammatical and lexical skills: 10 questions
  • Logical-linguistic skills: 10 questions
  • General knowledge: 20 questions on topics related to the skills and knowledge relevant to the academic curriculum of the specific degree program

The test is conducted online through a dedicated platform.  Instructions for accessing the platform will be promptly published on the Link identifier #identifier__196456-5Student Portal

The general rules for the assessment test are provided in Article 5 of the Admission Notice (Italian version).

Exam Outcome

The result of the test is determined based on the following scoring system:

  • Correct answer: +1
  • Incorrect answer: –0.25
  • Unanswered question: 0

Italian language proficiency for foreign students

EU and non-EU foreign students residing abroad are requested to have Italian knowledge L2 not inferior to B1 level (written and reading comprehension), certified by the University Language Center.

Moreover, they are requested to reach level B2 by the second year of the course, either by attending courses specifically set up by the University Language Centre or by obtaining a certificate from one of the four Italian language certification bodies recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the MUR (Rome Tre University Language Centre, University for Foreigners of Perugia, University for Foreigners of Siena, Dante Alighieri Association).

Additional Learning Requirements (OFA)

A failing score (if the score is below 28) leads to the assignment of additional learning requirements (OFAs).

The Additional Learning Obligations must be fulfilled within the first year of the degree course. Students who do not fulfill them within this timeframe will not be allowed to register for exams during the first session of the academic year following their enrollment (January/February 2027).

Alternative tests accepted

For the purposes of assigning/fulfilling additional learning requirements, will also be considered valid one of the following assessment tests taken at Roma Tre University in the academic year 2025/26 : L-3 DAMS; L-5 Philosophy; L-20 Communication Sciences.

Other admission tests taken at other universities (including TOLC tests administered by CISIA) are not recognized as valid.
