Economics and management of the digital transformation

Economics and Management of the Digital Transformation

In collaboration with the Department of Business Economics, the Master’s Degree in Economics and Management of the Digital Transformation is designed to train professionals capable of navigating the intersection between economics, technology and data science. With a strong foundation in economic and business studies, the programme develops advanced skills in data construction, analysis and visualisation, enabling students to interpret and manage complex economic and organisational phenomena in an increasingly digital world.

The curriculum features a common first year followed by two distinct specialisations in the second: one focused on economics and the digital transformation of public administration, the other on business management and digital innovation. Students are introduced to behavioural economics, legal and technological aspects of innovation, digital management control, and geo-referenced data systems. Emphasis is placed on the strategic use of quantitative tools and ICT for data-driven decision-making.

Graduates are equipped for roles such as data economist, digital transformation manager, business analyst, and policy consultant in both public and private sectors. The programme’s interdisciplinary and interclass structure (LM-56/LM-77) ensures a high degree of flexibility and adaptability, opening access to careers in consultancy, innovation management, digital governance and international organisations. The course also lays the groundwork for further academic study or professional specialisation.
