Management and Automation Engineering

The Master’s Degree in Management and Automation Engineering prepares engineers for leadership roles at the intersection of digital technology, industrial automation, and organisational management. The programme responds to the demand for professionals capable of designing and managing integrated systems and advanced automation solutions. It offers two distinct academic tracks: Management, focused on operations, strategy, and decision-making; and Automation of Complex Systems, aimed at intelligent systems design and industrial process control.
Students follow a structured curriculum that builds fundamental engineering knowledge in the first year and advances to specialised training in the second. Key topics include systems engineering, robotics, software integration, operations research, and project management. The course takes place on a modern, well-equipped campus in central Rome, offering access to cutting-edge laboratories and academic resources. International mobility is strongly encouraged, and students may pursue thesis work with foreign universities or research institutions.
Graduates are prepared for careers in manufacturing, ICT, logistics, consultancy, and public administration. They are equipped to lead projects involving automation, infrastructure, digital transformation, and system optimisation. The degree grants access to the Italian professional register of engineers in the Information Sector, and provides a strong foundation for further study in doctoral or second-level master’s programmes. The final thesis is developed independently and may involve research, technological development, or industrial collaboration.
