Road Infrastructure and Transport Engineering
The Master’s Degree in Road Infrastructure and Transport Engineering equips students with the knowledge and skills to plan, design, and manage modern transport systems and infrastructure. The course responds to the growing complexity of urban mobility, sustainable development, and innovation in materials and digital technologies. Students can choose between two areas of specialisation: Road Infrastructure, focusing on design, safety, and construction materials; and Transport, which addresses planning, logistics, and the functional design of passenger and freight networks.
The programme integrates theoretical knowledge with applied engineering training through laboratories, collaborative design projects, and interdisciplinary coursework. Students benefit from a rich academic environment, practical internships, and international opportunities such as Erasmus and International Project Week. Strong partnerships with public institutions and private companies ensure alignment with industry needs and facilitate professional placements and career development.
Graduates are qualified for careers in transport planning, civil engineering design, infrastructure management, and public administration. They are trained to assess complex systems, lead innovation, and manage multidisciplinary teams. The degree also supports progression to doctoral study in Civil Engineering and professional certification in the sector. The final project is an original thesis, which may be developed in conjunction with industry or international research partners.
