Primary Teacher Education (Single Cycle Degree – 5 years)

The Single-Cycle Master’s Degree in Primary Teacher Education at Roma Tre University prepares students to become fully qualified teachers for nursery and primary schools. The five-year programme combines academic coursework with professional practice, offering comprehensive training in pedagogy, psychology, subject-specific didactics, and classroom management. Special emphasis is placed on inclusive education and supporting learners with special educational needs.

Students follow a structured study path integrating lectures, workshops, and school-based placements. Teaching practice is supervised and progressively developed over the five years, allowing students to gain direct experience in real educational settings. The final examination includes the defence of a research-based dissertation and a professional report drawn from teaching practice, in line with national qualification standards for teacher certification.

Graduates are qualified to teach across nursery and primary education in both public and private schools. The degree supports the development of professionals capable of creating inclusive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environments. Graduates are equipped to foster children’s cognitive and emotional growth, promote intercultural understanding, and contribute to collaborative teaching and curriculum planning within school communities.
