Management Engineering
Bachelor’s Degree in Management Engineering is a new interdepartmental study programme, in collaboration with the Department of Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Aeronautical Technologies.
The programme trains junior management engineers with a multidisciplinary skillset integrating industrial engineering, information engineering, and economic-management areas such as business organisation, innovation management, marketing, logistics, IT, and project management. Graduates can work in industrial and service sectors, managing production processes, logistics, projects, and innovation in dynamic and international environments. Communication skills, decision-making ability, and proficiency in a foreign language (mandatory B2 level English) are emphasised, along with professional and ethical responsibilities. The course promotes international exchanges (e.g. ERASMUS) and internships at partner organisations, although no compulsory curricular internship is required.
Admission is open with no fixed number of places, but candidates must pass a non-selective entrance test assessing basic knowledge of mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Any gaps identified must be addressed through additional training. Upon completion, graduates can register with the Engineers’ Association as junior management engineers in either the industrial or information engineering section, after passing the State Exam. The course provides access to master’s degrees in industrial and information engineering disciplines and prepares students for employment in various industrial and service sectors in technical, organisational, and managerial roles.
