Communication Studies

Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies is a three-year programme designed to provide students with the essential skills needed for careers where communication is central, including journalism, publishing, public communication, and advertising. The course fosters a critical understanding of how communication processes interact with key aspects of contemporary society—such as historical, sociological, psychological, aesthetic, political, legal, and economic phenomena.

The degree features a single curriculum that allows students to develop a broad foundation of knowledge in areas including philosophy, linguistics and semiotics, logic and information science, socio-economics, history and politics, aesthetics, ethics, and psychology. It also covers research methods in media studies and audience analysis, as well as critical tools for interpreting the broader cultural and social contexts in which communication occurs.

Alongside theoretical coursework, the programme integrates practical workshops in writing, journalism, digital storytelling, photojournalism, emotional regulation, gender studies, music language, and environmental analysis. Students also have access to internships and international study opportunities at partner universities across Europe. Admission to the course requires an online entrance assessment that is mandatory but non-selective, and enrolment is not dependent on the outcome.
