Electronic Engineering for Industry and Innovation
The Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering for Industry and Innovation at Roma Tre University offers advanced academic training in the design, development, and management of electronic components and systems. The course responds to the technological evolution of the electronics sector and the growing demand for professionals capable of managing embedded systems, circuit design, sensors, and microelectronics. Students are trained to address the full product lifecycle, from design to prototyping and performance evaluation, while developing a comprehensive understanding of both analogue and digital systems within modern industrial contexts.
The curriculum provides a solid grounding in electronic engineering, covering topics such as optoelectronics, biomedical electronics, nanotechnologies, electrical measurements, and system diagnostics. Teaching is enriched by laboratory work, collaborative projects, and coursework that emphasises practical design and analytical methods. Students are encouraged to think critically and to work across disciplines, supported by complementary knowledge in computer science, physics, and materials science. The final thesis consists of an original project developed under academic supervision, often in collaboration with external organisations.
Graduates are equipped for careers in the electronics industry, research and development, public administration, or consultancy. They may work in areas such as electronic system design, production engineering, and innovation management. The degree grants access to the Italian professional register of engineers (Information Sector – Section A) upon successful completion of the national exam. The course also prepares students for doctoral studies or other postgraduate specialisations. Admission is open to holders of relevant undergraduate degrees and requires proficiency in at least one European language other than Italian.
