Founded in 1992, Roma Tre University has quickly become a major academic institution with over 35,000 students annually, renowned for its high-quality education, research, and extensive international cooperation.
Roma Tre campus is mainly located in the south-eastern area of Rome, most of its buildings features renovated industrial buildings transformed into modern educational facilities, so that students can rely on large and modern constructions equipped with the most advanced technologies, laboratories, reading rooms and wide spaces often with green areas where to enjoy university life. Roma Tre includes thirteen Departments, four of which have been awarded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research, further to a national Call for Proposals, as “Departments of Excellence” recognized among the top 15 in Italy and funded by the Ministry of University for their outstanding research quality.
Offering more than 80 bachelor’s and master’s degrees, 27 PhD programs, and various courses in English, along with numerous double and joint degrees, Roma Tre provides a robust international study environment with 1,467 students in exchange programs.

Roma Tre University campus is spread across the city, covering various areas of Rome, from the city center, where the department of education science is located to the Piramide area, home of the department of architecture, it continues through the southeastern part of Rome where most of the campuses are based, all the way to the seaside in Ostia where several degree courses are offered while enjoying the beautiful setting of Rome.
