Erasmus +

Here are the main guidelines for Erasmus students coming to spend a study period with Roma Tre:

  • If you are an Erasmus+student:
  • please make sure that your university communicated your nomination by e-mail to our International Mobility Office (Link identifier #identifier__10429-2incoming.students@uniroma3.it)
  • Fill in the Link identifier #identifier__41689-3Application Form. The application form must be printed, signed by the student and by the sending institution. Make sure you upload it through the temporary link that you will receive by e-mail after submitting the application. Your acceptance will be confirmed by e-mail. The deadlines for the application form are the following:
    • from 30th March to 15th June for students arriving in the first semester or for the entire academic year
    • from 30th September to 1st November for students arriving in the second semester
  • Roma Tre offers free Italian language courses for Erasmus students. To attend Italian language courses, you must enroll in advance through the  Link identifier #identifier__151380-4University Language Centre.
  • Make sure you have a valid health insurance in Italy (before leaving, check that there is an agreement with the Italian state).
  • To be enrolled as Erasmus student, it is necessary to take part to the Erasmus Welcome Day or send a ticket through Link identifier #identifier__52177-5helpdesk uploading in a single attachment a copy of your arrival in Rome ticket and a copy of your Identity card or passport.
  • Erasmus incoming students will be provided with a certificate attesting their enrolment at Roma Tre as Erasmus student and credentials (User Id and password) to access their Link identifier #identifier__163450-6Reserved Area of Student Portal. Through the Student Portal students will be able to check their academic career, enrol for exams and print certificates such as the Transcript of Records.
  • Erasmus incoming students must contact their Link identifier #identifier__199219-7Erasmus departmental Coordinator immediately after their enrolment to define a study plan, to sign a Learning Agreement, to get information about courses, Link identifier #identifier__172508-8courses in English and teachers. Our Office and the Erasmus Institutional Coordinator are at their disposal to support and guide incoming students in their initial phase of stay and throughout the Erasmus period. Our Erasmus Institutional Coordinator is available to receive students by appointment. Any changes to the study plan entered in the Application Form must be done also in the Link identifier #identifier__100048-9Student Personal Page (log in with the same User Id and a password received by e-mail). By 30th October for students arriving in the first semester and by 31st March for students arriving in the second semester, the Learning Agreement completed with all signatures must be uploaded on the Personal Page. A copy of the Learning Agreement must be provided via Personal Page, otherwise the certificate of stay can’t be issued.

  • Certificate of Attendance: in order to receive the attendance certificate, the student has to upload proof of departure from Rome (flight ticket and boarding pass are both necessary, or train ticket, bus ticket, etc) on the Link identifier #identifier__106211-11Student Personal Page.

International Welcome Day 2025/2026

The International Welcome Day for incoming students arriving the first semester will take place on the 22nd September from 9.30 to 13.00 at Great Hall in Via Ostiense 234 (Aula Magna Lettere).It is necessary for students to follow the instructions sent by the International Mobility Office via e-mail in order to be enrolled.

Second semester

Information will be available on the second semester.

Exchange Students within Bilateral Agreements

Roma Tre signed many bilateral agreements for student mobility which allow students from many foreign universities to carry out study periods and take exams at Roma Tre with the status of Exchange Students, for one semester or for the entire academic year.

Thanks to this status, there is no payment of registration fees for Roma Tre and students can use all student services, as canteens as libraries, as well as taking exams and get the relevant certificates.

If you are an Exchange Programme with Bilateral Agreements student, please make sure that your University communicated your nomination by e-mail to our Students with Foreign Qualification and Mobility Programmes Office (Link identifier #identifier__74948-15mobilita.internazionale@uniroma3.it).

To attend Roma Tre University as an exchange student, your home university must have a current exchange agreement with us, you can contact the international office or the university exchange coordinator at your home university. There are two types of exchange agreements at Roma Tre: university-wide agreements and department or faculty agreements.

If your home university does not have a current exchange agreement with Roma Tre University, you can apply for single courses taught in English and attend Roma Tre University Link identifier #identifier__157552-16Single course units or apply for one of the Master or PhD programmes delivered  in English Link identifier #identifier__130356-17Study Programmes delivered in English and Double and Joint Degrees.

Academic Calendar

  • 1st October – start of teaching activities and first cycle of lessons for 10/13 weeks
  • January/February – 4/6 weeks examinations of the reference academic year
  • 1st March – start of the second cycle of lessons for 10/13 weeks
    June/July – 4/6 weeks exams
  • 1-30 September – tests of the reference academic year

International Mobility Office promotes and supports the participation of students in international mobility programs, both in European Union programs, in university initiatives/programs and in those of national and international institutions. The office manages the incoming and outcoming university’s mobility calls for study, research and internships within the Erasmus+ program, as well as the university’s mobility call for research and study outside the EU and other international mobility agreements signed by Roma Tre University.
