Economics and Big Data
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Big Data is a three-year interdisciplinary programme that combines core economic, business, legal, mathematical, and statistical subjects with computer science and programming. Emphasising STEM competencies, the course integrates traditional economics training with advanced tools from big data analysis and information and communication technologies (ICT). The structure includes 20 modules, an English language proficiency test, a practical internship or laboratory, and a final examination.
The programme is designed to equip students with the skills needed to understand and manage the processes driven by digital transformation and assess their effects on institutions, markets, and policymaking. Graduates gain the ability to analyse economic systems, evaluate the behaviour of market agents, understand the role of ICT and big data in decision-making, design algorithms, and manage digital processes in areas such as labour relations and strategic planning.
Admission is open, with no selective entry test required. The programme prepares students for both direct entry into the labour market—particularly in roles requiring strong digital and analytical skills—and for further study in Master's programmes focused on economics, data science, business analytics, and technological innovation.
