Architecture

The Master’s Degree in Architecture focuses on the building as the central element of the architectural process. It trains students to oversee all phases of architectural work, from concept development to construction, with particular attention to the relationship between built form and its physical, cultural and environmental context. The programme encourages a critical understanding of habitability and the coherence between structural, typological and technological choices in delivering architecture of high quality and relevance.

The curriculum combines theoretical reflection with professional training, providing the tools to analyse and produce architecture that responds to contemporary design challenges. Core areas include the history and theory of architectural languages, design methodologies, and construction techniques. Learning takes place through thematic design studios and interdisciplinary workshops that guide students from preliminary ideas to executive projects, with a final semester dedicated to a comprehensive urban and infrastructural thesis project.

The programme supports international mobility through a wide network of Erasmus+ and global agreements. Although internships are not compulsory, students may complete professional placements within their elective study plan. Graduates are qualified to enter the profession as independent architects or collaborators within design studios, public bodies or private firms. The degree also offers access to doctoral and postgraduate specialisations. Upon successful completion of the state licensing exam, graduates may register as architects in Italy and practise throughout the European Union.
