Roma Tre University joined in the a.y. 2025/2026 the IUPALS Project, which provides scholarships for Palestinian students residing in the Palestinian territories, enabling them to benefit from an international education by enrolling in academic programs in Italy.
The project, developed in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of University and Research and the Italian General Consulate in Jerusalem envisages the awarding of approximately 140 scholarships distributed among participating universities. The project is aimed at Palestinian students interested in completing a full cycle of university studies (bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or single-cycle master’s degree) at one of the Italian universities participating in the initiative.
During its meeting on 31 March 2025, the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI) outlined guidelines for the implementation of the project, specifying that the scholarships will have an average annual value of approximately €12,000 and will be provided mainly in the form of services, additional methods and conditions for the granting of the scholarships are also foreseen. Roma Tre University has established four scholarships, each worth €12,000, intended for students residing in the Palestinian territories who enrol in a Bachelor’s, master’s or single-cycle Master’s degree program at the University for the academic year 2025/2026. These scholarships will be awarded in accordance with the procedures defined by CRUI.
