Juridical Sciences in Law, Banking and Finance

The Master’s Degree in Juridical Sciences in Law, Banking and Finance provides specialised legal training for students seeking careers in the financial sector. Combining core legal education with economic and financial insight, the programme prepares graduates to work at the intersection of law, regulation, and financial services. Particular attention is paid to the evolving challenges posed by digital innovation in finance, including fintech and data-driven compliance. The course is well suited to those aiming for roles in banks, supervisory bodies, law firms, and European institutions such as the ECB and the Bank of Italy.

The curriculum balances legal theory with practical expertise in financial regulation, banking law, European and international economic law, and legal English. It includes a dedicated “Law and Finance” track designed to enhance employability across the European labour market. Teaching is supported by experiential components, such as internships or professional seminars co-organised with the Departments of Law and Business Economics. The course fosters the development of both general legal competences and sector-specific skills relevant to complex economic systems.

Graduates are equipped to interpret financial regulation, provide legal advice in high-risk financial environments, and assume strategic roles within legal, banking, and public institutions. The degree supports access to further specialisation or competitive positions in national and European agencies. The final thesis, worth 21 ECTS credits, demonstrates the student’s ability to conduct independent legal research in financial regulation and serves as a gateway to the professional world.
