Students, who have already mastered the diachronic framework of contemporary literature through an in-depth study of authors, movements, and themes of the 19th and 20th centuries, must master the multifaceted methodological tools of textual analysis, thereby acquiring a solid foundation of specialized critical knowledge across multiple fields of inquiry: historical, philological, linguistic, structural, metrical-stylistic, and rhetorical.
