21201453 - INTERNAL AUDITING

The main aim of the class is at providing the student any basic information regarding Internal Control System in the Corporate governance environment.
In order to better depict the arguments, a specific focus on the risk assessment and management is first provided. After having explained the risk and control concepts and elements (included the most important international framework on the topic), the class addresses the internal audit function, so to show the last resort mechanism a full internal control has to be provided of.
A lot of practitioners and witnesses experience help the student to enter the issues in a practical and dialogical way.

Type of delivery of the course

The class is summoned thrice a week for two hour each time. Sometimes, but previously scheduled and reminded, business managers involved in Internal auditing show their activities, in order to help students to go much more through the topics the professor explains during previous lessons from a theoretical point of view. In rhe second part of the semester, specific work groups are planned and executed, with a final discussion of each group in front of the others.

Attendance is not compulsory

Type of evaluation

Oral assessment concerning at least three topics of the class program. One of the three topics is selected by the student.
