20710380 - LABORATORIO DI SCRITTURA E COMUNICAZIONE

The course aims at improving students’ reading and writing skills focusing on different types of text. It is organized into three main modules:
- The first theoretical module introduces the functions of a well-organized text by focusing on the relationship between contents, both explicit and implicit, and linguistic expression.
- The second part of the course is based on the writing process and the underlying structural properties; particular attention will be given to the importance of bringing out the main thesis of a text and arguing on the basis of that thesis by using the relevant language tools and rhetorical resources.
- The third module suggests some examples taken from various textual fields to work on and offers some practical exercises to improve the writing abilities.
