The course examines the following themes: the security of rights and human dignity; the creation of law and, in particular, the relationship between the Constitution and ordinary laws; the Italian system of constitutional justice, with special regard to the interpretation in conformity with the Constitution.

THE COURSE AIMS AT STUDYING THE SYSTEM OF THE SOURCES OF LAW AND OF CONSTITUTIONAL REVIEW. THE ANALYSIS WILL FOCUS IN PARTICULAR ON THE ISSUES RELATING TO THE DEMOCRACY AND TO THE IMPACT OF THE EU LAW ON THE ITALIAN LEGAL ORDER. WE WILL CARRY OUT AN IN-DEPTH STUDY OF THE ISSUES RELATING TO THE CONSTITUTIONAL CONSISTENCY REVIEW, ANALYZING THROUGH THE FILTER OF THE CASE-LAW OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT THE NORMS USED AS A PARAMETER, THE NORMS SUBJECT TO THE REVIEW AND THE DECISIONAL TECHNIQUES OF THE COURT.Core Documentation

The oral exam checks the level of understanding of the basic concepts of constitutional law, even in the light of practice. Students will answer questions asked about the program, with reference to the recommended texts and lectures.
