The aim of the course is to deepen the students knowledge on the rights of freedom from a historical, legislative and jurisprudential point of view.

Programme

The course will analyze the models of protection of rights-fundamental rights in the Italian Constitution-the principle of equality-freedoms-social rights and constitutional duties.
Particular attention will also be paid to the issue of women's rights in the Constitution and to the so-called multilevel protection of rights.

Type of delivery of the course

The lectures will be dedicated to illustrating the general part of the program and to discussing the most significant decisions of the Constitutional Court and of the European Court of Human Rights in this matter.

Type of evaluation

The oral exam checks the level of understanding of the basic concepts of the subject. Students will answer questions asked about the program, with reference to the recommended texts. The evaluation ranges from a minimum of 18/30, corresponding to the basic knowledge of all parts of the program and technical language, to a maximum score of 30/30 and honors, which is equivalent to mastery of the topics, excellent language property, excellent analytical ability.
