Programme

The course consists of seminars held by national and international guests who will deal with the issue of crime and prison in the contemporary world The criminal policy of the States is taken away from the experts, regardless of the criminal statistics and pursues interpretative stereotypes far from the reality. Prison policy is founded on the idea that there is no real alternative to imprisonment. The course will be an opportunity of specialized training that will see the participation of operators of the security, of the justice, as well as Italian and foreign sociologists.

Essays and articles to be read at seminars will be recommended.

Type of delivery of the course

The course consists of an intensive cycle of eight seminars with international guests. It will start on Tuesday 12 November at 4 p.m. and will continue every Tuesday and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. until the first week of December.

Attendance

Active participation and reading of articles and essays suggested during the course is required.

Type of evaluation

Active participation during the training activity will be evaluated. Students will be encouraged to intervene during the seminars.
