Students will acquire advanced competences in translation theory applied to French poetic texts and will refine their skills in the critical analysis, interpretation and translation of texts, such as 19th century prose poems characterized by their linguistic and cultural complexity.

Programme

The course will focus on specialist translation from a linguistic-semiotic perspective, with particular attention to terminology and argumentative strategies, including iconic ones, of the tourist text and the advertising text.
