Attendance

The attendance to lectures and seminars is mandatory

Programme

The seminar will firstly look into the global financial crisis, studying its root causes, the consequences that brought to the Great recession and the policy responses. With a similar approach, it will also analyze the European double dip, explaining what brought to the sovereign debt crisis that spread through Europe in 2011. Finally, the seminar will discuss the challenges that currently lie ahead, as legacy of the global crisis: from the backlash against globalization to the growing inequality.

The slide decks used by the lecturer. There will be some biographic references but these are meant just as support if the students want to look deeper into some of the topics discussed during the lectures.

Type of delivery of the course

A series of 6-7 lectures in which the active participation of attendant students will be fostered.

Attendance

To get the full amount of CFU it is possible to miss just one lecture. The lecturer will collect the signatures of participants as a proof of their presence at the lecture.

Type of evaluation

Written exam with one hour to complete a series of questions to be answered in few lines. All the topics covered in the lectures make part of the official syllabus.
