Programme

The course deals with the following topics, divided into three parts. PART 1 (microeconomic aspects): demand and supply of labour; balance in the labor market; human capital; labor mobility; salary distribution; discrimination; labor unions; salary incentives; unemployment. PART 2 (macroeconomic aspects): Keynesian model; IS-LM model; Beveridge curve; Phillips curve; NAIRU. PART 3 (economic policies): employment protection regimes; the European employment strategy; labor market reforms; income support; international trading.

Type of delivery of the course
