The course focuses on some issues in mathematical thinking and aims to trains students with problems and exercises. By doing so, the course aims at shoking the crucial role of mathematics in humanities.

This course aims to present the general aspects of Physics focusing on matters of principle highligh by different physical phenomena and experiments. The various arguments are presentend starting from direct observation of natural phenomena. On the basis of this observations, it will be formulated questions about the laws of nature and it will be discussed the understanding oh these phenomena in Physics. The topics covered are those of general physics (mechanics, electrostatics, the nature of wave phenomena and light, bases of thermodynamics). Moreover during the course it will be presented some topics of more advanced modern physics for example Relativity Theory, Quantum Mechanics, antimatter, the problem of dark matter of Universe.
