Music Technologies Lab
The Lab provides students with the basic skills in electroacoustic and multimedia technologies applied to music. In particular, students will be involved in the creation of compositional and performative projects that provide a practical use of the acquired technical skills. The Lab also aims to offer the opportunity to acquire a basic knowledge of music

Programme

Elements of music theory: rhythm and meter, notation, elements of tonal harmony (scales, chords) with practical examples and listenings;
Acoustic and musical psychoacoustics; digital representation of sound; elaborations and experiments on sound objects through the use of editing software;
Musical composition through the acquired techniques;
Fundamentals of sound synthesis systems and sampling techniques; elements of electroacoustic, electronic and computer-digital music

The course is articulated in laboratory lessons

Type of evaluation

The qualification is achieved having attended at least 28 hours of laboratory, or you can skip a maximum of 2 lessons (3 hours on Friday afternoon, 4 hours on Saturday morning)
